Men’s Sheds Canada welcomes donations, in-kind gifts, bequests, and other contributions to support development of the Men’s Shed movement in Canada, and individual MSC programs and projects. We also welcome donations made in honour of an individual or an occasion – a powerful form of tribute and recognition!
Ways to support our work include:
- By Cheque payable to Men’s Sheds Canada, 8942 – 78 Ave. NW, Edmonton, AB T6C 0N8
- By Interac e-Transfer
- Naming Men’s Sheds Canada as the beneficiary of a new or existing life insurance policy can provide for a significant future gift at an affordable present cost while leveraging future tax benefits. (A professional advisor is recommended for arranging for this type of gift.)
- Naming Men’s Sheds Canada as a full or partial beneficiary of a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSPs) or Registered Retirement Income Fund (RRIFs). (A professional advisor is recommended for arranging for this type of gift.)
- A bequest through your will can be a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or assets such as real estate, stocks, or bonds. Working with an estate lawyer can help you prepare a will that optimizes tax benefits for your heirs; you can also include charitable bequests when you create a will yourself through an online resource. If you already have a will, Men’s Sheds Canada can be added as a beneficiary through a codicil without re-writing your will. Your lawyer or other professional advisor can advise you in your estate planning, and it can also be helpful to discuss specific intentions with relevant family members.
- If you have an in-kind service or items that could benefit MSC, please contact us at info@mensshedscanada.org with a description of what you can offer.
All gifts are gratefully accepted and we will be pleased to discuss opportunities for acknowledgement. For more information, contact: Barbara McMillan barbara.m@mensshedscanada.org
