MSC is partnering with academic institutions and other relevant agencies on projects and participating in knowledge exchange and dissemination opportunities, including:
- University of Alberta School of Public Health: a review of social and health policies across Canada and in selected other countries to identify policies addressing the needs of older men.
- Queen’s University – OASIS project collaboration to create Men’s Sheds in NORCs (Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities) in several OASIS sites.
- University of Toronto Mississauga – Accessible repository of research: collecting, analyzing, and reporting key findings from studies, articles, and reports related to health and wellness of older men
- McMaster University – Intergenerational Shed participatory action research project
- HelpAge Canada – National survey of Men’s Sheds and interviews on the impacts of participation in Men’s Sheds in Canada
